Description

Creamy Tuscan sausage pasta is a rich and comforting 30-minute recipe packed with sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, and a luscious garlic-Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy, casings removed)

12 oz penne pasta

1 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

2 cups baby spinach

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, breaking it apart.

3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1-2 minutes.

4. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.

5. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and sauce thickens.

6. Stir in spinach and cooked pasta. Cook until spinach wilts and pasta is coated.

7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

Reheat gently with a splash of broth or cream.

Use gluten-free pasta or dairy-free cream as needed.
